Ethernet over Copper (EoC)

EoC is an increasingly common service solution for customers with high bandwidth IP (internet protocol) needs and who are requiring an Ethernet handoff to their equipment. Similar to DSL (digital subscriber loop), the cable pairs are used to provide a dedicated internet connection in incremental speeds.  Many carriers offer this lost cost solution in 3M, 5M, 7M and 10M speeds.

Unlike bonded T-1 circuit connections, additional bandwidth is available almost on demand and is delivered to the customer with a simple Ethernet connection. This reduces the amount of equipment and cards required on the customer side and provides very fast upload and download speeds.
